Treegarten is more than an independent music label.
It is a place shaped by memories, movement and the belief that music can change the way a moment feels.
The story begins in Berlin in the late 80s and 90s – in a city defined by transformation. The fall of the wall. German reunification. New freedom, new influences and a generation finding its own identity and its own sound.
Somewhere in the middle of it all began a lifelong connection to music.
Inspired by the golden era of 90s hip-hop, music quickly became more than a hobby. Long nights behind the decks followed. DJing in Berlin clubs. Becoming a resident. Living for weekends, records and the energy of the crowd.
At the same time came the first own productions: classic, sample-based beats, built from vinyl, hardware and hours spent searching for the right sound.
Back then, making music was physical.
Crates full of records. Dusty grooves. Old drum machines. A small fragment of sound could become the beginning of something completely new. It was never just about creating a track. It was about capturing a feeling.
Then the world changed.
Vinyl became digital. The music industry transformed. Life moved forward. Work, family and the constant rhythm of a modern city replaced some of those long nights.
But the connection to music never disappeared.
Eventually, the need to create returned.
Not to chase trends. Not to repeat the past. But to find balance again.
To slow down.
To create a space between everyday life and everything happening inside the mind.
This is where Treegarten began.
Today, Treegarten is a growing world of organic LoFi, dusty chillhop, nostalgic boom-bap, ambient textures and everything in between. Different artists, different sounds, different emotional spaces – all connected by the same intention.
To create the soundtrack for the moments that matter.
Rainy mornings with a hot cup of coffee. Late-night study sessions. Quiet commutes. Creative work. A walk home. A few minutes alone after a long day.
The moments in between.
In a world that never stops rushing, Treegarten is an invitation to pause.
Put on your headphones.
Take a deep breath.
Let the music follow your mood.
Because not every day feels the same. Not every story sounds the same. Sometimes you need a dusty boom-bap beat. Sometimes warm, mellow chords. Sometimes something quiet enough to leave room for your own thoughts.
Treegarten follows where the mood leads.
Music can heal the soul. It can connect us to people, places and memories. It can make us feel understood without saying a single word. It can help us focus, relax, reset and keep moving.
Every personal story has its own soundtrack.
Treegarten is built for those stories.
For the past we carry with us.
For the life happening right now.
And for all the moments still to come.
